Gary "Debo" DeBernardi won a big pot early on when he spiked a queen on the river to crack Jason Smith's pocket Kings. "I really thought after that it might be my day," Debo said, but it wasn't meant to be. After running pocket Jacks into Kings, Debo played a big pot with Tim Kahlmeyer. Debo called out of the blind with Q-J and saw a Q-Q-10 flop. Debo smooth-called Tim's bets on the flop and when a blank fell on the turn, and when another blank hit on the river Debo led out for 50,000. "You have a queen?" Kahlmeyer said. "I'm all-in". Debo had to lay his hand down and Kahlmeyer showed Ace-Queen as he raked in the huge pot.

Debo made his final stand with pocket nines, but Allie Prescott held pocket Aces and when Debo couldn't catch a nine, his Classic came to a premature end as he finished 22nd.
