A HO Lot of Traveling
After a month in Vegas, I thought it would be great to be hanging home for a while and playing poker at my bar and in some local games. I sure had another thing coming when I looked at my upcoming schedule. I have some pretty cool activities coming up. First, on Aug 5th, I leave for one week in Uruguay, that's right...South America! Punta del Este is a stop for the LAPT (Latin American Poker Tour). I'm taking my wife, Christy, aka "Mrs. Ho." I'm looking forward to playing, as the last time we traveled this far, we went to Paris (EPT) and I cashed in third place.
Besides the poker, we're hoping to see some of what Uruguay has to offer. I'll have lots of pictures to share on one of my next blogs. Then a week after getting home, it's off to Vegas again! Debo, Phil and I are going to team up in a huge Fantasy Football draft to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel sportsbook, Aug. 19th. It's going to be sick! The league is being run by Rounders Magazine, and it is a star packed league with a lot of poker players like Gavin Smith and Eric Lingrin, UFC fighters Rampage Jackson and Chuck Laddell, and even some guys from the NBA and PGA. I"m sure the after-draft party will get out of hand......I'll be home from LV for about a week, then I'm off to Los Angeles for the filming of THE BEST DAMN POKER SHOW 2 on Sept. 5th. After LA, I'm home for 2 weeks, then I'm off to ARUBA, BABY!!! (Sept 25th - Oct. 6th) This is by far the best week of the poker year! DO NOT MISS ARUBA!! UB is giving everyone an opportunity to get there. Go to the Aruba tab on the tourney schedule where you'll find there are satellites for all price ranges and lots of free rolls.
